About the Role

Our hardware team is growing and we are looking for a Low Voltage Power Lead Engineer to join us. You will have operatively presence in the design stages of product development.

About the Work

• As a low-voltage power lead within Nuro, you will be the overall owner of our product’s LV power system
• Work with the sensor leads and power electronics engineers to confirm that the sensor systems achieve mission critical performance and on-vehicle performance
• Provide technical oversight to LV power distribution engineer for safety critical redundant power system in road-worth autonomous vehicle
• Assist junior and senior power electronics engineers to manage Nuro’s tier-one suppliers to confirm their systems meet Nuro’s performance and reliability targets
• Assist field and systems integration teams to provide technical knowledge of power electronics systems
• Work with mechanical and reliability engineers to manage thermal, power, DFM, and reliability challenges
• Work with test engineering team to define and execute hardware test/validation plans

About You

• Familiar with power electronics topologies, design, and validation
• Familiar working with DC/DC converters, EMI compliance and system optimization
• Familiar with validation and verification processes such as FuSa, DFMEA, and ISO-26262 compliance, and familiarity with working in the automotive environment
• Can-do attitude and strong desire to win. Comfortable and excited to work in a dynamic start-up environment; advancing projects from concept/development phase through launch and mass production
• You are logical at deciding what to design in-house and what to outsource
