Manager, Infrastructure/ Cloud Security
About the role
Chime is looking for a manager to lead and grow its infrastructure security team. The Infrastructure Security team is responsible for discovering and addressing infrastructure security gaps that affect Chime services. In addition to that the team is also responsible in designing, building, hardening and assessing risks of critical security infrastructure services/tools like PKI, secrets management, logging, detection and more. This is a management role - We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills who is passionate about security and can drive programs that will achieve both the business and security program objectives.

This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Take ownership over building and leading the team, steering technical direction & roadmap, architectural design decisions, and collaborating with varying business groups to bring business systems within security standards as an integration strategy
- Work with Security Leadership and the team in developing an Infrastructure Security roadmap for future work, deliver and track progress against it
- Foster a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and blameless retrospection within the team and across the company
- Partner with engineering leaders across the company to help them prioritize security issues in their products and balance business goals
- Evangelize & implement security practices across the company
- Present findings and explain impact and solutions to any level of leadership
To thrive in this role, you have
- 2+ years management experience leading a high functioning team
- Hands-on experience securing AWS and EKS environments is a plus
- Technical experience across security disciplines – infrastructure, networking etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to present effectively at different audience levels.
- A customer-oriented focus, with a strong passion for developer happiness.
