Our Core Services team is responsible for providing critical shared services to all products in the Rally ecosystem. Every product at Rally needs two things: identity (resolving who the member is) and authorization; (what the member is authorized for based on their benefits and coverage).

The team’s journey is to build a cohesive foundational platform for other teams to integrate on top of in order to provide a precise experience to users as they move across their healthcare journey. The team works on projects and code that impacts the entire company as well as insurance companies that Rally partners with.

The Core Services organization is looking for very motivated and self driven engineers who work best in a reciprocal environment delivering large and complex features motivated by our mission and business goals. You will work closely with Product Managers and Project Managers to understand features, do technical assessments, design, code, test and ship to production.

You will lead execution of projects and partner with various stakeholders in Engineering, Product and other teams as needed. We embrace Entrepreneurs as well as those who come from more established organizations. Software Engineering Leaders are clearly characterized by progressive technical experience and demonstrated progression in management responsibility.

In this role you will be keeping your technical skills sharp and bringing an unwavering passion for managing the dynamics of a fast-paced environment. As we grow to achieve that mission, we’re looking to add highly technical, hands-on, and mission-driven Engineering Managers to lead our engineering efforts.

Qualifications:
7+ years of relevant engineering work experience
4+ hands-on technical management experience
Exceptional technical abilities and experience with architectural patterns of large, high-scale applications
Strong knowledge of computing concepts including API design, crafting, fault tolerance, highly available and scalable distributed systems, multithreaded programming, performance tuning, and security.
Build small and agile teams.
Track record in partnering with recruiting to build incredible engineering teams
Actively coached and mentored team members in their careers
Been actively involved in setting product strategy
Independently started self-sustaining teams
Consistently made culture choices that positively impact all of engineering
Shipped several large scale projects with multiple dependencies across teams
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
Previous experience within the Healthcare industry is a bonus.
