About the Job

As a Manager Test Engineering, Cloud & Web at Life360, you will lead and grow a Test Engineering team as they innovate and execute the testing of our new Cloud & Web solutions.. You are a passionate Test Engineer, with hands-on SDET and Management experience. You have the technical vision of the future for Life360 Cloud & Web testing and automation. 

What You’ll Do

• Drive best practices for test automation, test execution, and test management
• Implement automation ­first strategy. Maintain, expand, and improve our automated testing framework
• Identification of risks with mitigation plans, negotiating with stakeholders as required
• Define, design and deliver tools and automation framework for our Web and Cloud systems
• Be a strong quality advocate, collaborating closely with software engineers, designers, and product managers for backend testability and design
• Monitor product and/or feature-level quality health metrics (testability, test health, test coverage, etc)
• Self-motivator, who can work independently, able to learn quickly, meets deadlines and demonstrates problem-solving skills.
• Technical fluency: ability to quickly learn new systems and dive in to tough problems
• Proficient in writing functional automation (UI/API)
• Highly proficient in Java, Python or a similar language
• Proficient in HTML, XML, CSS and browser DOM

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 6+ years of real-world SDET experience
• 3+ year of managerial or lead experience
• 3+ year experience with developing testing strategy, running testing projects and implementing automation frameworks for Web and Cloud solutions
• Experience managing offshore teams
• Experience with hiring and building engineering teams
• Experience with a wide range of software testing technologies, methodologies, and solutions
• Strategic, independent thinker and mentor

Bonus Points for 

• Experience with Performance/Load testing in the Web and Cloud
• Experience with Security Testing on Web and Cloud
• Experience implementing CI/CD/CT pipelines
• Experience with developer tools like git, Maven and Jenkins
• Good grasp of relational databases and SQL
• Experience with the AWS environment and its various tools
