ABOUT THE ANDROID TEAM

Varo’s Android team is still a small team but looking to get bigger. We are responsible for building and maintaining the Varo Money app on Android devices. Our primary focus is to create a robust, testable and delightful app that will help help our customers manage their financial life. We work closely with our backend developers as well as design and product teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Use modern but proven technologies to create an app that will run on multiple devices
• Write hiqh quality code that is testable, performant and easy to read
• Deliver polished and beautiful UI with smooth animations and delightful interactions

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES THAT'LL HELP YOU BE GREAT

• Knowing Kotlin
• Experience with Android Architecture Components and MVVM architecture in general
• Experience with Material design
• Being comfortable writing testable, performant code
• Good understanding of both GraphQL and REST, with experience in integrating mobile applications with back-end services
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Git
• Understanding of Scrum development process

• Basic understanding of HTTP, AWS, and Linux to help troubleshoot issues during integration testing between UI and backend
