Motion Planning and Predictions Engineer
Ike’s mission is to make trucks safer, truckers more valuable, and trucking more efficient. We are bringing together the world’s leading experts in transportation and robotics to transform the way the world moves and build a real commercial product at scale.
About Your Role
You will be a key contributor on a small, collaborative team focused on one of the most exciting robotics applications today. In this impactful role, you will develop motion planning and prediction algorithms for self-driving vehicles. You will also collaborate closely with engineers across perception and tracking, mapping and localization, infrastructure, and simulation to achieve desired results.
About Your Work
- Research and develop novel algorithms to solve problems in areas including behavior and motion prediction, motion planning, and control
- Develop computationally efficient decision-making systems that take into account interactions with other agents in the world and uncertainty
- Develop data-driven models for predicting agent behaviors and tuning self-driving vehicle behavior
About You
- Experience with prediction and/or motion planning algorithms
- Strong C++/Python programming skills
- Strong math (linear algebra, geometry, analysis, probability), physics (kinematics, dynamics), and problem-solving skills
Nice to haves
- Experience working with real-time systems, large-scale scalable software architectures, and large datasets
- Ideally some experience in at least one of: robot navigation, machine learning, optimization, computational geometry, graph search, optimal control and estimation
