Blend’s IT Operations team needs a Network Engineer to plan, build, and maintain our growing footprint throughout the country and to integrate networks from a newly acquired company! Blend’s operations team is a diverse mix of subject matter experts that run large IT projects for Blend and handle T2 internal support. The Network Engineer will be the subject matter expert for all things network related, including new office wiring, ISP sourcing and installation, network design, office WiFi optimization, and VPN setups.

How you'll contribute

  • Manage our growing number of networks and their growing security and compliance needs
  • Run IT projects with limited oversight
  • Assist other team members and the IT Support team with projects outside your expertise
  • Assist with T2 ticket escalation resolution
  • Develop, implement, and document IT policies and procedures

Who you are

  • Project management and problem-solving skills
  • Strong networking fundamentals: You know what switches and routers do; VLANs and firewall rules spark joy for you; subnetting and supernetting is something you either can do or want to figure out; WiFi problems prompt a ‘challenge accepted’ response; You know that replacing patch cables solves a lot of weird problems
  • Comfortable with basic network troubleshooting especially when helping less technical folks
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally to support new office builds


Bonus Points!

  • Experience working in a heavily regulated industry
  • Experience with JAMF, Okta, Zoom, G Suite, Meraki, Atlassian, and Zendesk
  • AWS Networking experience (VPCs, Security Groups, ELB)
  • Experience with, or knowledge of, DevOps principles and automation
