- Identifying testing and validation needs for new designs
- Executing mechanical tests
- Speccing and sourcing test instrumentation
- Working with technicians to set up and run tests
- Documenting results
- Contribute to root causing of failures and driving their resolution
- Support prototype requests to enable design revs and overall development.
- Analyzing test data and recommending design changes or further testing
- Support testing and development both internally and at external labs and suppliers
- Coordinate testing efforts cross functionally with Design, Reliability, and Manufacturing
What you must have:
- Pursuing a B.A/B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- You are familiar with Solidworks and/or NX
- You are a great communicator
- You are well-organized and maintain great records
- You have a strong understanding of documentation methodologies
- Exposure to materials science, thermodynamics, or fluid dynamics
- Experience with LabView/Python/C/C++
