At Amplitude, we’re building analytics that helps our customers use data to build better products and drive growth. We’re already the analytics platform of choice for many top product teams around the world including Microsoft, Square, Twitter, and Hubspot. Our team is defining the future of how companies interact with data to build better products.

In this role you will be working on the leading edge of our open source data collection libraries and will gain invaluable experience with library design and development, as well as interacting with a community of engaged developers who use your work on a daily basis. These SDKs are used by thousands of customers to send tens of billions of events to Amplitude each month. Our SDKs cover both web and mobile platforms, so you will have the opportunity to work closely with JavaScript, Objective-C, Swift, Java, Dart, as well as potentially other languages as we expand our SDK coverage to additional platforms.

As a SDK Engineer you will:

  • Take product ideas from ideation to implementation.
  • Work closely with customers, our Success team, and our Solutions team to deliver new SDK features and support existing ones.
  • Develop with a variety of technologies, including JavaScript, Objective-C, Swift, Java and Dart.
  • Manage end-to-end build/test/release processes for all of our SDKs.
  • Participate in design and code reviews.
  • Write user friendly customer facing documentation.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Have strong coding fundamentals and previous software engineering experience from internships, hackathons, or side projects.
  • Eager to work closely with customers to build features and solve problems.
  • Enjoy building mobile or browser libraries, tools or applications.
  • Comfortable with switching between different languages and platforms.
  • Have a good understanding of current and emerging trends in web and mobile development.
