About Your Team

Ike's Software Infrastructure team serves as the platform which powers autonomy algorithms both onboard and offboard. We are providing computing, storage, communication and data center services & tools to enable the autonomy stack to run onboard on the vehicle and offboard inside the data-center. We also provide infrastructure software to support offline machine learning training, data pipelines and simulation for validation and verification.

About Your Role

You will be a key contributor on a small, collaborative team focused on one of the most exciting robotics applications today. In this impactful role, you will mainly contribute to the onboard infrastructure: integrating new sensors, improving observability and reliability, managing fault handling, moving software release and data logs on and off the vehicle.

About Your Work

• Design and implement high performance, low latency C++ onboard autonomy systems including messaging, scheduling, logging, monitoring, data storage
• Be responsible for onboard system security including data and communication
• Work closely with embedded teams to bring up and manage new sensors as they come
• Minimize software coupling to make autonomy systems independent on native operating systems and system libraries
• Manage software deployments to the vehicle and data offload from the vehicle
• Work with autonomy and simulation teams across software organization to deliver robust end-to-end integration

About You

• BS, MS, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar with 3+ years of experience building production infrastructure software
• A comprehensive understanding of how computer systems work
• Experience with high performance real-time and distributed systems
• Experience writing modern C++ code in production systems
• Comfortable working across teams and organizations to drive the finish line

Nice to Haves

• Experience with robotics systems like ROS
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure like AWS/GCP
• Infrastructure experience in the self-driving industry
