The Khoros engagement platform comprises Online Community, Social Media Management and Messaging products for social customer service, social support and social media marketing teams to listen, respond and act on customer conversations – creating deep relationships and fostering brand loyalty and advocacy.

We’re looking to hire an Operations Engineering Manager to lead an engineering team responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure underlying multiple SaaS applications in the Social Media space. As an Engineering Manager at Khoros, you’ll be responsible for your team’s overall success and engagement. You’ll be the spark that helps the team meet its goals and support engineers in their professional growth.

Some Responsibilities Include:

• Managing, mentoring, and motivating a team of operations engineers
• Leading project planning, resourcing, supporting project execution, and ensuring overall project success
• Building and maintaining a team culture that is supportive and inclusive
• Recruiting and hiring engineering talent prioritizing equity and inclusion
• Supporting technical design and cross functional collaboration
• Collaborating with Product Engineering, Security and Support to understand and prioritize the most important work to keep our platform healthy
• Applying agile processes to support teamwork and improvement through backlog prioritization, retrospectives and other team ceremonies
• Contributing technically to projects and providing code reviews

Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience managing technical staff
• 5+ years of experience administering production environments
• 3+ years of experience with cloud-based distributed systems, especially AWS.
• Experience in a technical or team leadership role
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with JVM technology and related tech like Spring, Hibernate, Finatra, etc.
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with real-time data processing tech like Kafka, Storm, Spark, etc.
• Experience managing or working within software engineering teams
