Summary:

Molekule is seeking a Principal Software Architect to join our San Francisco-based team working on the next generation of air purification technology. This role will lead enterprise application, software and systems architecture at Molekule. This Strategic SME will partner between Software, IT and Growth (Website) to design secure, scalable and highly available systems. As a Principal Engineer, you will contribute thought leadership in areas of technical excellence and development best practices.

What you will own:

• Enterprise application, software and systems architecture at Molekule
• Requirements gathering and stakeholder alignment
• Systems integration
• End to end system security
• Implementation of your designs, test and maintenance, with the support of internal and external development teams
• Cloud services strategy, design and development (we currently use AWS)
• Technical SME for product roadmap strategy
• Contribute key thought leadership to Dev Culture

What you will bring:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 10+ years experience shipping production quality software
• 8+ years experience designing distributed systems
• Deep industry knowledge integrating 3rd party platforms. We currently use Netsuite, Oracle, SAP, Shopify, Magento, and Stripe, among others.
• Experience designing, developing and shipping end-to-end IoT product(s)
• API development and tuning expertise
• AWS design and optimization understanding, bonus points for AWS IoT experience
• Demonstrated cross-functional influence, leadership and project management
• Passion about code that is:

• Devotion to Development Culture, with a track record of implementing Best Practices like Pair Programming, Test Driven Development, CI/CD, etc., FAST OKR’s & performance metrics and setting the tone for other developers to create their best work (dev environment, containers, seamless test/deployment, protecting calendars for dev time, etc.)
