Job Description

We are seeking dev-ops experts to help us evaluate and redefine our deployment model from a proprietary stack to an industry standard containerized model. We are looking for true practitioners who have designed, run, and supported container architectures at massive global scale. By joining us on this mission, you have the rare opportunity to:
· Sign your name on the metal of a “greenfield” project inside one of the largest private clouds.
· Revolutionize and move the needle in dev-ops for ServiceNow’s 3000 internal developers.
· Leverage thousands of existing customer SaaS installations to drive and test your solutions.
· Flex your 21st innovation skills in many of the dev-ops technologies.
We’re fanatical about hyper-efficient dev-ops tools and technologies and plan to leverage a combination of progressive open source technologies and acquired commercial capabilities. We also realize that there is no perfect off the shelf solution and expect every team member to be able to open the hood of whatever solution most closely matches our needs if necessary.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
Expert-level experience and qualifications to be successful in this role include:
· Modern container and orchestration layers such as Kubernetes, ECS, OpenShift, Docker/Swarm, Mesos, Nomad, Rancher, Ansible, etc
· Linux system administration including storage, networking, security, and OS tuning to deliver world class efficiency for delivered services
· Large-scale cluster management spanning thousands of servers around the world
· Design and architectural patterns (e.g. high availability, disaster recovery)
· Masters or PhD in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
