Job Description

As a QA Analyst, you’ll become an expert in the health and quality of Wish’s platform and product. This role entails executing manual test plans and proactively reporting issues to ensure that our platform and product provide a seamless user experience. The ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative in solving problems and has prior experience in manual testing (Web and Mobile).

What you'll be doing:

  • Execute daily manual testing across various platforms to ensure the functionality
  • Assist with the creation of manual test cases as new features are being developed
  • Execute testing for high impact and complex new features that span multiple components as well as end to end functionality
  • Document issues and suggest improvements on features and processes
  • Collaborate with the engineering and product management teams to help reproduce and resolve issues
  • Proactive in identifying new processes, team improvements, inefficiencies and work quickly to resolve them
  • Communicate product changes to the appropriate teams
  • Participate in team education
  • Delegate work to other members of the team when testing a complex and high priority feature that requires more resources

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field from a reputable institution or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience in mobile (iOS and Android) and web testing at another software company
  • Working knowledge on SQL and Unix
  • Passion for product quality and a positive user experience
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies, best practices, and software development life cycle
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage priorities in a fast-paced development environment
  • Experience in project management
  • Highly driven and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Experience and passion in leading high impact projects and initiatives
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with software tools for bug tracking (JIRA), test management (TestRail), and code coverage
  • Experience with regression, performance, stress, unit, API, integration, and security testing
  • Previous experience working in a startup environment
