As a QA automation engineer at Wish, you will ensure the health and stability of a platform supporting 100 million shoppers, hundreds of thousands of stores, and millions of orders. You will be responsible for building automated services to ensure the health and quality of our e-commerce platform.

You will have a great deal of responsibility for each project you work on, and will have the flexibility to influence design and execution. With full transparency to all metrics, you will get to see how your work directly impacts the company’s performance and make data driven decisions.

For this role, you should be smart, hands-on, and have a solid foundation in math, computer science, or software engineering. You should have strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design. We are looking for someone passionate and driven to automate and improve customer satisfaction with their engineering chops.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and develop test automation framework from scratch collaborating with infrastructure team.
  • Automate the functional, regression, and sanity test cases using Python, Selenium. WebDriver, and robot framework.
  • Work on building automation for hybrid iOS and Android apps
  • Test and automate API testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suite.
  • Integrate automation testing into CI to improve tests execution pipelines within the dev and release process.
  • Design and develop integration, regression, and stress tests using different techniques and tools.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, providing testing insights and coming up with innovative solutions to improve and ensure the quality of our product.
  • Allocate QA resources and manage the release process as needed.
  • Assist with daily regression during onboarding stage.

Who you are:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with test automation in Python.
  • Experience writing automated tests for mobile apps with tools such as Appium or Calabash
  • Experience in testing methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and debugging.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, Python, Selenium, NoSQL.
  • Proficient in Software Engineering, Data Structures, and Object-Oriented Programming.
  • In depth knowledge of debugging, automation, RESTful web services, and APIs.
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments, Git, container technology (Docker, Kubernetes), Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD.
  • 3+ years of experience in QA/Testing & Test Automation.
  • A desire to automate everything and reduce the time required to manually test products.
  • Creative, independent, self-motivated, and quick to learn new technologies.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly driven, positive attitude, and a team player.
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment
