The Role

Help us ensure the highest level of quality while keeping the teams moving on quick releases! The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys the quick pace of startups, and likes adding structure to something dynamic.  

This is a contract role for up to 5 months.


What You’ll Do

  • Liaise with internal teams to identify requirements and come up with detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Manual API/backend/mobile testing (web is not necessary)
  • Identify, record and thoroughly document and track bugs
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products/features as needed
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts eventually
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies

What You'll Need

  • 2-5 years prior experience in manual testing
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience automating repetitive testing tasks
  • Some experience with scripting and coding automated/unit tests
  • Experience owning testing for a large chunk of a product (ideally at a startup)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in CS or similar field, or equivalent work experience

Working at Lark


Lark offers the option to work remotely when both the employee and the job are suited to such an arrangement and when the employee and their manager are in alignment with the work location and working hours. This option is only applicable to U.S. employees. To accommodate all employees, we have identified the “core” period of the day during which all employees are required to work for scheduled meetings, syncs, scrums between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Pacific time. The company is headquartered in Mountain View, CA.
