We are looking for a Quality Engineer to help scale Digit through its meteoric growth. In this role you will help drive the quality function within Digit engineering, streamlining our response to incoming issues, driving quality metrics around Digit as a service, evolving Digit’s automated testing frameworks and processes, and by being an expert in the Digit product as we continue to build new features. This role is based in San Francisco.
What You’ll Do:
- Triage, prioritize, and route incoming issues to engineering from internal stakeholders
- Quantify and measure the ongoing quality of the Digit service, building or integrating with appropriate tools to do so
- Quantify and measure quality efforts within engineering such as test coverage, SLAs
- Drive the follow-up to incident response via post-mortems and resulting action items
- Contribute to the roadmap around automated testing frameworks and integration with the dev process
- Consult with engineering teams in devising appropriate test plans for new features
- Occasional backfill of automated tests
- Assist in adhoc testing efforts as necessary
- Minimal black-box testing
Who You Are:
- CS degree or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years experience in an engineering or QA engineer role
- Driven by quality
- Possess a preternatural ability to break things
