As a Roboticist on our App team, you will be responsible to architect, build and optimize our application library and tools. Your work will drive all stages of our applications development, from prototyping to factory deployment.

Your responsibilities

• Work hands-on with our various application verticals to experiment and optimize performances
• Prototype new application verticals using our powerful in-house application building libraries
• Develop new tools to improve the development, optimization and monitoring of our applications
• Work to build clean and powerful abstractions of our platform capabilities to support rapid application development
• Build interfaces to evaluate new hardware such as grippers, haptic sensors, arms, etc.
• Understand the algorithms developed by our vision/learning side and bring your experience and intuition to bear on how best to apply them to manipulation tasks
• Keep yourself up to update with the latest advances and techniques in the field of robotics

Background/experience

• Ph.D. in a robotics-related discipline or at least 3 years of relevant industry experience
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++
• Experience developing with ROS and related software such as MoveIt! 
• Experience getting robots to go, especially those with arms, and deploying them in the real world
• Bonus: Familiarity with AI/ML/Computer Vision
