As a Robotics Test Engineer, your role will be to ensure that our robots correctly execute their mission under the varying conditions that exist at different customer sites.

What you'll do

• Execute intensive testing of robots and its subsystems
• Work with QA engineers to create and execute validation plans
• Evaluate results of testing and highlight areas for improvement 
• Track, identify and communicate software and hardware defects
• Develop and maintain a robust system to track test resources
• Write clear and concise documentation of procedures, results, and reports
• Suggest and oversee improvements to process and testing methodology
• Design and implement tooling to make testing more efficient and streamlined
• Collaborate across teams to improve performance of robot systems

Who you are

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science preferred
• Familiar with software management tools such as Github, JIRA etc
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with bug lifecycle management
• Methodical, organized approach to problems with persistence to see the issue through to completion
• Self-starter
• Exposure to software development and preferably some experience writing test scripts
• Comfortable working in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
• Passionate about robotics and artificial intelligence, and excited to push the boundaries on real-world robotics applications

Bonus qualifications

• Good skills in Python or other comparable coding languages
• Experience with ROS (Robot operating system)
