As the Senior Cloud Engineer, you will report to the Head of Infrastructure. You will collaboratively build upon our cutting-edge infrastructure platform, directly affecting how we scale, secure, and monitor our systems throughout the organization. You will work on our Infrastructure team made up of experienced Cloud Engineers with diverse backgrounds. Initiatives you will be a part of include:
- AWS support, operation, scale, and architect to ensure high availability of all systems
- Automating and streamlining standard infrastructure operations.
- Database support with AWS Relational Database Service, Postgres, and Redshift
- Ansible Support and improvements to automation
- Microservice Deployment Process creation, operation, and upgrades
- Use of modern project management software such as JIRA to organize projects and track progress.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working in a production environment
- Background in Linux/UNIX (Debian/Ubuntu, AWS Linux)
- Information Security best practices, particularly in the context of AWS
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, preferably with multiple AWS offerings
- Experience with configuration management & automation (Ansible, Cloudformation, Terraform, etc.)
- Monitoring and Metrics gathering (Splunk, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Nagios)
- Experience working with Kubernetes / OpenShift or a different container orchestration system
