As a member of the RingCentral CISO team, you’ll help define and drive the security standards and disciplines required for complex, business-critical problems supported with elegant, user-friendly solutions that perform at massive scale. As a Senior Cloud Security Architect you will oversee the security architecture design and discipline for our cutting edge video and audio conferencing products. This is a great opportunity to lead, partner and collaborate with elite engineering teams to drive the security side of these highly visible products that are used at massive scale by largest enterprises.
You possess deep technical knowledge and will be tasked with the most challenging product security requirements for end user facing functionalities.
Responsibilities
Report directly to RingCentral CISO, responsible for overall security and privacy by design aspects of RingCentral products and applications
Partner with Chief Privacy Officer and CPO team to ensure product data handling supports new and emerging privacy regulations and standards
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering and Analytics teams to ensure RingCentral products, applications and tools support both security architecture and secure development standards
Defining and driving security and privacy aware SDLC discipline across all organizations
Identify gaps in existing security architecture and collaborate with engineering to design, review and approve changes or enhancements
Enforce security guardrails for all RingCentral products and applications
Lead security risk assessments for proposed cloud and endpoint designs, architectures and solutions
Partner with application security testing team for tool/automation-based and hands on testing focus, finding assessment and remediation
Provide vulnerability remediation design and solutions
Provide clear, risk-based assessments of product security maturity including areas for improvement and if needed, identify stop-ship situations
Collaboration with Cloud platform and product architecture teams to embed security standards
Must-Have:
Expertise with product security design, review, implementation including threat modelling and risk assessment implications
Extensive experience with Cloud Application Architecture and Development
Secure design and implementation capabilities
Proven track record implementing S-SDLC on organizational level
Security fundamentals including Identity and Access Management, Key and identity management / PKI, Database architecture, Logging and Log management, Network architecture, Firewall/IDS/DDoS
Experience with Open Source Software including lifecycle management, vulnerability management
Deep understanding of deployment architectures, including Kubernetes and VM based systems, including image management, for applications deployed in third party cloud and CoLo environments
Understanding and experience with external regulatory requirements and their impact on architecture, including FedRAMP, HITRUST, Financial Services requirements
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to condense complicated scenarios into simple, risk-based assessments, appropriately targeted for colleagues and upper management
Outstanding organizational and time management skills, desire to work within a highly collaborative team
Qualifications:
10+ years of technical experience in product architecture, design, implementation
