Engineering at TrueAccord
TrueAccord is growing at a prodigious rate. Our systems are reaching challenges of scale as we approach tens of millions of transactions per week. In response to the onboarding of large clients and new features, some systems are actively evolving while others are being rebuilt from scratch.
We work with a mix of languages and technologies, including Scala, Java, Go and Python across our stack. We believe in using the right tool for the job and value simple solutions over beautiful ones.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Site Reliability Engineer. As our new Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be in charge of defining, implementing, and documenting our development and production infrastructure initiatives and improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, git, GitHub, Gerrit, K8S, Docker)
- Evangelize DevOps best practices across Engineering
- Support and improve AWS-based environments
- Automate AWS infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation
- Maintain third-party DevOps-related tools, microservices, and solutions
- Write scripts and automation using Python and/or shell scripts
- Design and implement appropriate development and production environments for various TrueAccord services and applications with release management procedures and support
- Design and develop automation workflows, execution of unit, smoke, and regression tests
- Follow rigorous design, coding, instrumentation, performance tuning, and maintenance standards
- Troubleshoot problems, drive resolution of issues with the focus on minimizing impact on our stakeholders
- Drive improvements to processes and design enhancements to automation to continuously improve development, staging, testing, and production environments
- Identify recurring issues and work across the company to remediate them under a rigorous change management process
Qualifications:
- Expertise with Jenkins CI/CD, Groovy scripting
- Production experience with AWS Cloudformation deployment
- 2+ years of hands-on experience of AWS and related technologies
- Strong background in Linux-based infrastructure
- Working knowledge of at least one scripting language
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (e.g. EKS, OpenShift)
- Experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible
- Up to date on best DevOps practices
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with Java and JVM ecosystem
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Proficient in time management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Experience designing and implementing geographically distributed network infrastructure and multi-region production environments
