Come join a dynamic team and play a key role in the development and verification of the Serve food delivery robot at Postmates-X. We are looking for an experienced Hardware Designer and Verification Engineer. You will be responsible for the design and qualification of the Serve delivery robot at the component, motherboard, and system levels. You will participate in all aspects of design, from schematics to layout to bringup and test.
What you’ll get to tackle
- Hands-on experience in designing and testing modern electronics hardware at component, motherboard, and system level
- Debug and troubleshoot system consisting of main SoC subsystem interface with peripherals such as ethernet, usb, hdmi, LTE, GPS, etc.. and various sensors including surround view cameras, lidars, ultrasonics in a battery operated high voltage environment. The SoC actively interfaces to motor controllers to move and steer the delivery robots.
You’ll thrive in this role
- Experience designing with embedded systems, from flashing to debugging
- Experience in designing DC-DC power supplies
- Experience in high speed circuits and signal integrity measurements
- Experience in hardware prototype bring-up, debug, fault detection, and failure analysis
- Proficient software competence. Experience in writing test software and scripts for test automation
- Project management skills. Will take ownership of assigned platforms and/or subsystems, and be responsible for design, and driving deliverables to schedules.
- Comfortable with lab equipment: scope, power supply, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, rework tools.
- Design tools: Orcad schematic capture tools, Cadence layout tools, Altium
