As a Reddit Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will create healthy and happy experiences for hundreds of millions of users around the world using Reddit on their phones, computers, and even scripts/bots. Anti-Evil’s Consumer Safety team at Reddit is on a mission to empower redditors to define and enforce safety standards for their communities and personal experiences.

You’ll own the full-stack development for one or more projects and tackle tough design and product problems alongside other world-class engineers. This role calls for strong collaboration with product managers, UX designer, iOS engineer, Android engineer, web frontend engineer, and backend engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Build a world-class user experience.
• Design engineering architecture for feature systems spanning web/app frontends, APIs, microservices, and databases.
• Contribute to backend and API services.
• Tackle tough design and product problems.
• Work cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering to deliver great user experiences.
• Provide technical leadership in domain areas.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience building clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Experience in Javascript and Node.js. (React and Redux experience a plus)
• Experience with Python or another server-side scripting language
• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL
• Great engineering skills and strong CS fundamentals
• Excellent collaborative, communication, and documentation skills
• Able to work effectively under schedule pressure to fix defects, review code, design, write, test new code, and diagnose production issues
