As Senior QA Manager, you will be responsible for leading and building a team of great manual testers and automation engineers. You are a motivational people manager who cares about people and who has led QA and automation teams. You will be the company-level expert of critical QA methodologies, technologies, and automation frameworks and will contribute critical input to the roadmap and long-term vision of QA at Wish. This role entails being responsible for the project management, supervision, and coordination of software testing for all web and mobile releases. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on solving complex problems and has many years of hands on experience in quality assurance and automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the QA team in all testing phases and deliver major product and platform features with the best possible quality
  • Mentor QA members on test design and test execution methodologies
  • Proactively recommend process, testing methodology, and technology/QA tool improvements
  • Drive test automation into the testing process to improve test efficiency and effectiveness
  • Be hands-on to help direct reports solve complex problems and code when necessary
  • Lead, create, and implement test automation strategy and roadmaps
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to facilitate smooth quality testing
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and professionally develop teamDrive the technical and organizational roadmap for the team
  • Implement and enhance QA methodologies to ensure delivery of predictable, high-quality product releases
  • Guide the design and development of testing strategy strategies based on project requirements
  • Gather, analyze, and report team and quality metrics which demonstrate business value and show continuous improvement
  • Creatively solve technical QA challenges with your team
  • Debrief on defects identified outside of our quality processes and develop plans to ensure there are tests in place to capture the defects

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of experience managing and hiring talented quality teams
  • 10+ years of Quality Assurance design, development, execution, test automation, test plan, and test case implementation
  • 5+ years of experience delivering test frameworks and test tools
  • Experience with Automated Testing tools (Selenium) is mandatory
  • Experience with Agile methodology Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android devices
  • Executive leadership role in defining and implementing an overall software development quality life-cycle approach
  • Outstanding team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • 2+ years of hands-on, demonstrable experience testing mobile (iOS and Android) applications
  • Complete comfort working with Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence)Proficient in Python
  • Ability to engage and influence senior leaders
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead other team members
  • A critical and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and define roadmaps for QA and automation
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen quickly
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communications skills
  • Loves to learn and is passionate about helping others
