Staff Software Engineer, Security Engineering

In accordance with applicable law, this role has an annual starting salary of $164,500 plus bonus, a competitive equity package, and benefits (see below). The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect toÂ
- Help lead the long-term technical strategy of an engineering focused security team responsible for ensuring Chime's applications and services are developed securely
- Partner with software engineering to lead and build developer tooling focused on Security, libraries and security features for our product.
- Proactively work with Engineering and Product teams to establish security and privacy by design. Influence and enable Engineering teams to solve security challenges at scale while balancing reliability, usability, and performance
- Evangelize & implement security practices across the company
- Present findings and explain impact and solutions to any level of leadership
To thrive in this role, you have
- 6+ years developing software in a production environmentÂ
- Proven experience of building and deploying security features and projects
- Expertise in some subfield of security
- You value open collaboration, have a strong desire to learn, and are excited to pick up new skills and technologies.Â
- Empathy - you are a team player
- Golang / Ruby / Ruby on Rails experience as a bonus!
- AWS experience as a bonus!
