Our user base has doubled in the last year alone, and we have paid over $500 million directly to creators on our platform. In order to support this level of growth, Patreon is looking for a Senior Security Engineer, Threat Detection and Response.

What you will work on 

• Work with our Infrastructure team to build out the pipelines to collect security-critical information from our systems and product
• Determine the best solutions for monitoring, processing, and alerting on security-based signals
• Form a repeatable process for triaging and responding to alerts

Longer term

• Proactively identify security threats and develop detections
• Manage the processes around response to alerts, balancing noise to signal
• Monitor the space for novel approaches to detection and response
• Develop our threat intelligence program and how we ingest and process threat information

What you enjoy

Your experience

• At least 3 - 5 years on the job experience with security detection engineering and response 
• Strong understanding of code, can whip up Python to automate your needs
• Understanding of the current threat landscape against SaaS companies
• Understanding of insider threat detection and response
