We build payments infrastructure for vertically-focused software companies (think restaurant, yoga studio and winery software) and fintech providers so they can own and monetize payments without the heavy lift of building complex systems from scratch or relying entirely on disjointed third-party services. About the Role:

The Engineering organization at Finix owns the delivery and stability of our product end-to-end. The Core Platform team ensures Finix’s complete payment platform is highly available, scalable, and performant. The Security Engineer is responsible for the secure operation of Finix’s business and production infrastructure.

You Will:

• Define processes, analyze threats and drive projects that improve the security posture at Finix
• Build tools that help manage, test, monitor, and improve system security
• Help develop security standards, preferred implementation patterns, secure common frameworks, and developer documentation and educational materials
• Investigate and triage production security alerts, vulnerabilities, and issues
• Collaborate with engineers to define secure services, conduct static code analysis and penetration testing

You Are:

• Proactive in securing large scale cloud-based production environmentsExcited about finding new and better ways to make software systems more secure
• Able to thrive in a fast pace environment, and are highly collaborative, and live up to your commitments
• A proven self-starter, with self-initiative and a drive to take ownership
• Open, honest, and direct in your communications

You Have:

• 5+ years of information security experience
• Extensive knowledge of internet security issues, cloud architectures, and threat landscape
• Experience with Security Engineering and Assurance methodologies e.g. fuzzing, static and dynamic code analysis
• Good understanding of secure communication, protocols, network security architecture, authentication protocols, and web applications
• Ability to communicate complex information, concepts, or ideas in a confident and well-organized manner through verbal, written, and/or visual means
