About the Healthcare Solutions Team (HCS):

Komodo Health’s data-driven tools are built on our Healthcare Map, which consists of healthcare data points on over 320 million patient lives (de-identified). The Healthcare Solutions team -- a group of data scientists, engineers, and product designers -- is building a leading platform where our customers can now gain direct access to our Healthcare Map to power their healthcare analytics. We are a customer-facing team, and you will have the opportunity to develop a product that fuels growth for the company.

About the Role:

We’re seeking a senior, hands-on, and highly motivated Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to help us build out and scale our data platform. In this role, you will help build and support big data and analytics infrastructure in AWS.

After 3 months, you will:

• Work deeply with AWS compute, storage, networking, and security services
• Design and implement architectures in AWS to support novel use cases and workflows
• Automate infrastructure with languages and tools such as Terraform, Packer, CloudFormation, and Powershell
• Deploy and manage Linux servers
• Respond to customer questions and issues in accordance with SLAs
• Setup monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Participate in on-call rotations

Qualifications:

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years in an engineering role
• 5+ years experience with AWS
• Experience leading cross functional teams
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and understanding of domains, forests, and group policies
• Understand the TCP / IP stack and troubleshooting networks 
• You have excellent programming skills in Python, C++, or other programming languages

Nice-to-Haves:

• You have experience working in a regulated environment especially HIPAA and healthcare data
• You have experience with analytics tools such as R, Jupyter Notebooks, and SAS. 
• AWS certifications
