Senior Software Engineer - Communities
- Working across iOS, Android, and web to create amazing experiences for our users
- Building new features for large Discord communities, ranging from moderation tools to new ways to run group events and discover servers
- Working with product, design, and other stakeholders on what the future for creators looks like on Discord
- Using experiments and user research to iterate and learn what works best for our communities
- Diving into unknown and exciting challenges while learning from other passionate engineers on your team
- Familiarity with web (React, TypeScript, Python), iOS (React Native, Objective-C, Swift), or Android (Kotlin, RxJava) development. We're a cross-platform team and believe that engineers should be empowered to work across a variety of tech stacks
- Keen eye for design with a strong sense of collaboration to build high quality UX
- Experience building, shipping, and iterating on product features
- Ability to balance speed and quality to ship high impact products
- Strong desire to empower our most passionate creators
- Shipped products across multiple platforms (web, iOS, and Android)
- A history of open-source contributions to community libraries and tools
