About the role:
The simulation team delivers products that accelerate our autonomous vehicle development, testing, and deployment through specialized frameworks and tools. As a software engineer on the controls simulation team, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of advanced vehicle simulation models and building frameworks and tools to aid the development and testing of the autonomous vehicle’s controls stack.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain simulation and analysis frameworks to support AV development and testing.
- Develop and implement high-fidelity vehicle models in modern C++ (including ECU, actuation, chassis, and tire models).
- Develop and implement vehicle model validation and parameter tuning strategies
Requirements:
- Strong software engineering skills and experience with modern C++
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering/science field
- Experience with large resilient test automation frameworks
Bonus Points:
- Automotive background and experience in vehicle simulation design
- Experience with ROS, vehicle ECUs and co-simulation
- Experience with vehicle control systems
