We are a multi-functional team of scientific domain specialists and software engineers. We build systems that take extensive amounts of genomic data, combine it with the world's scientific literature, add to it years of rigorously curated results, and package it all neatly for our scientists to consume. It's a lot of information. As the data gets bigger, our systems need to get better and faster. That's where you come in.

What you will do:

• Work with application users directly in order to build and optimize our Lab Test commercialization process
• Write software that other devs want to work with
• Own technical efforts for internal or external customer needs
• Mentor and Be mentored by teammates skilled in a variety of topics ranging from genetic counseling to bioinformatics to high performance software development

What you bring:

• Demonstrated ability in Software Engineering
• Proven experience with full stack architecture and distributed systems.
• Demonstrated ability with backend or frontend frameworks, with a preference for:
• Python/Django
• React
• Other common industry standards:
• OpenAPI
• Kafka
• Kubernetes
• Docker
• AWS
• Hands-on experience with large volume databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, etc.). 
• Demonstrated skill in tuning and query optimization
• Top notch interpersonal skills. 
• Experience or eagerness to work on a distributed team.
• A mission-driven attitude.
• A desire to never stop growing yourself.
