THE ROLE

Grove’s Financial Systems team owns the company’s ERP, financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting tools that drive the heart of our operational and financial planning. We’re looking for an engineer to join the team to help us build new integrations and participate in the redesign of our payments systems.

Our team is small (three) but growing, and we’re looking for an independent engineer who is interested in helping us design and staff the team that will help us scale our platform for the next several hundred million dollars in revenue. As the first engineer on the team, you’ll have responsibility for both architecture and development, and have the opportunity to help us define hiring standards for our group as it grows.

You should be comfortable with enterprise wide architecture, how to integrate both first and third party tools, data warehousing and engineering, as well as payments and security.

Your Impact:

• You’ll be our lead engineer for integration between our ordering, warehousing, financial, and forecasting systems
• You’ll get to help us define the engineering roadmap as we begin refactoring these systems to support our scale, and the lead engineer implementing them
• You’ll be engaged in our security and compliance work across the company, helping us ensure our systems are resilient to attack and accurately measuring our business

About You:

• You’re skilled at monitoring, data, and diagnostics of production systems, including third party tools like NetSuite and Boomi.
• You’ve worked as a full stack engineer for at least 6 years and love working across the frontend and backend.
• You are fluent in at least two programming languages, with a preference that one of them be Python (we are a Python shop, after all.)
• You’re comfortable working with a variety of relational databases, notably PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL, and Snowflake.
• You get bonus points for previous experience in commerce, customer service, CRM, catalog, or warehouse technology.
