Senior Software Engineer - FrontEnd
About the Role
Uber is looking for an accomplished senior software engineer to lead a talented frontend team of Configuration platform based in San Francisco, and Seattle. You will have a profound impact on a wide variety of technology teams spanning multiple focus areas. We are looking for an experienced engineer who possesses world-class engineering experience in building and scaling mission-critical, reliable platforms at the boundary between engineering and data science.

- Expertise on Javascript and deep understanding of object oriented concepts in Javascript.
- Experience with any popular frontend framework like React, Angular.
- Expertise with how page rendering and different technologies work to render a page on browser.
- Experience with NodeJS, designing APIs and interacting with backend technologies to define an end to end product experience.
- Ability to drive things being data driven.
---- Basic Qualifications ---
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- BS or higher degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Javascript/Typescript, CSS, Node.js, Frontend framework. Has proven experience architecting, building, and maintaining web applications
- Excellent coding abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills, with relevant experience in implementing large-scale distributed backend services | web applications with React.
Required Technical skills:
- API design
- Modern javascript
- Modern js framework
- UX
---- What the Candidate Will Do ---
- Web Technologies: Experience building products using web technologies. Good understanding of core web technologies such as HTML, CSS, HTTP, javascript, cookies, headers. Experience with Node.js, React/GraphQL/Redux, CSS-in-JS, Typescript or Flowtype, Next.js or FusionJS is a plus.
- Experience with full stack development is a plus
- Ability to collaborate with others and promote an inclusive work environment
- Familiarity with agile methodologies

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $174,000 per year - $193,500 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $174,000 per year - $193,500 per year. For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $174,000 per year - $193,500 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
