Senior Software Engineer - Games
The projects we're working on are experimental and have the potential to experience explosive growth; we're looking for someone who is willing, able and excited to face those challenges head on!What you'll be doing
- Research, plan, and quickly develop refined game features
- Design, build and deploy frontend and backend software components
- Architect WebGL/Mobile client solutions that provide a fast loading and smooth experience for our players
- Code and debug both client and back-end software, and maintain it after release
- Work with a diverse team of designers, engineers, artists, product managers, and system administrators
- Support content creator team members by always providing workflows and tools to improve their productivity
- Establish and communicate technical and design requirements to technical and non-technical team members alike
- Appreciation for the uniqueness of others regarding discipline, gender, race and ethnicity
- 5+ years of game development experience
- At least one shipped game
- Experience architecting & building complete systems from concept to release
- Working knowledge of Unity and Unreal game engines
- Deep knowledge of many programming languages like C#, C++, Javascript, Python
- Familiarity with back-end languages such as Rust, Golang, Elixir
- Extremely proficient in Windows 10 and familiarity with Mac OS and Linux
- Be excited to learn new technologies and paradigms
- Can jump into existing code bases and architect ground up solutions
- Provide and receive feedback in a healthy and professional way
- Shipped and supported a live service game
- Experience with Swift, Objective-C and Java
- Experience with AWS, Azure, Playfab, and Photon
- Experience mentoring junior developers
