Senior Software Engineer - Payroll

About The Role
The payroll product is responsible for making sure employees get paid on time and taxes are filed on time. We are processing > $100M in payroll through the system per week and the volume is going to grow to over $1B soon.
What You'll Do:
Develop & own core components of Payroll management involving a highly complex US taxation system.
Be a part of building highly scalable payment service infrastructure.
Opportunity to work with multiple teams like legal, security, support teams to define product strategies.
Redesign critical components of payroll to address stability & scalability challenges of current framework.
Develop & Ship products at a high-quality.
Have very clear ownership of one or many product spaces.

Qualifications:
5+ years of professional work experience
Experience building a large-scale platform for web and mobile apps
Expertise building complex, distributed services with Python, JavaScript, or Ruby
Strong CS knowledge
Bonus points if you’ve previously worked with AWS
