About the Job:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a lead role in defining the architecture for the backend components and services that will power KeepTruckin' continued growth. You will work alongside an enthusiastic team to implement scalable, extensible architectures that tackle the toughest problems in order to allow our product teams to innovate more quickly and delight our customers.
What You'll Do:
- Design scalable, secure, maintainable systems that power the platform that connects the world’s trucks!
- Define the architectural roadmap that meets current and future product needs by working with cross-functional teams spanning hardware, firmware, product and software engineering
- Build reusable components and services that will be used across product initiatives
- Improve the performance and reliability of our services including databases, web services, and other integrations
- Provide technical leadership, elevate KeepTruckin’s engineering practices and branding, mentor junior team members
What You Bring:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field
- 10+ years software development experience
- Good architecture design and distributed systems skills
- Designed and worked on high-throughput low-latency systems
- Experience building microservices, service-oriented architectures is a plus
- Experience in Ruby on Rails, Java, Golang, Python or similar language
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, and Cassandra
