POSITION TITLE: Senior Software Engineer (Full Time; Multiple Openings)
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for researching, designing and developing systems software to support RingCentral's Quote to Cash platform and workflows.
JOB DUTIES: Design and build RingCentral's Salesforce platform and build upon existing custom Quoting and Ordering production functionality; Solve complex, business-critical problems by developing elegant, user-friendly solutions that perform at massive scale; Design and write high-quality code to evolve the platform, with an emphasis on high-scale multi-tenant SaaS architecture, multi-datacenter resiliency and platform extensibility; Participate in overall product and system architecture development; Provide technical support for Salesforce platform and RingCentral's Quoting and Ordering production functionality; Sustain the Service Engineering team, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues in RingCentral's production system; Troubleshoot issues in production, documenting them and proposing solutions; Communicate with business users and with local and international development teams to determine strategies for enhancing and improving RingCentral's Salesforce platform; Break down complex system requirements into individual coding tasks and strategies; Maintain and fix issues that arise on existing platform; Track platform issues through usage in external application and dependencies on core product functionalities; Serve as last level of tech support escalation on tough technical issues from production; Review unit and integration tests to fully test and regress software.
REQUIRED SKILLS/TOOLS: Experience with software development lifecycle, Salesforce.com applications, Visual Force, Apex, Salesforce Lightning, JavaScript, and SOQL is required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE /
QUALIFICATIONS: U.S. Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field plus two (2) years of related experience, or U.S. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field plus five (5) years of related experience is required. Within the foregoing parameters, any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.
