As a Signal Integrity Engineer, you are responsible for definition, analysis and verification of the system interconnect for high speed interface of various systems.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields and 10+ years of related professional experience
  • Master’s degree and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5+ years of experience
  • Experience in SI/PI methodology development, PDN modeling from system to die, and lab correlation/validation
  • Deep knowledge of DDR4/5 JEDEC specs and/or SERDES standards (PCIE, USB, ethernet, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of power supply architecture covering voltage regulator technologies, PCB and package design trends and trade-offs, and chip supply design.
  • Good knowledge in 3D/2D EM simulation tools (ANSYS / HFSS; Sigrity, CST, ADS, Spice, etc)
  • Good knowledge on packaging and PCB technology preferred
  • Knowledgeable with lab equipment including but not limited to VNA, real-time scope, spectrum analyzer

Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s degree and/or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related fields with 8+ years of experience.
  • Deep understanding of Voltage Regulator design principles and electrical performance in the system environment

Role and Responsibilities

  • Interfacing with IC circuit design, applications engineering, packaging technology, and board design teams to define & implement system interconnect that meet internal specifications and customer requirements
  • Define the power architecture and design solution for the system
  • Power delivery modeling, simulation, and characterization for die, package, board, and Voltage Regulator
  • Provide implementation guidelines and feedback to silicon timing assessment, bump/RDL, package bump/ballout specifications
  • Developing reference routing for package/board and customer design guidelines, module interfaces/formats for simulation
  • Responsible for creating models and Signal Integrity simulation, CAD tools, etc.
