About Your Role

You will be a key contributor on a small, collaborative team focused on one of the most exciting robotics applications today. In this impactful role, you will develop simulation tools and capabilities that will enable testing, prototyping, and validation of the self-driving software stack. You will work closely with the engineering and infrastructure team to understand simulation requirements and develop tools to meet objectives.

About Your Work

  • Create regression testing tools and pipelines that will evaluate the software stack, both for virtual simulation scenarios and log-based simulation scenarios
  • Develop simulation dashboards to present simulation results and statistics in a way that allows the engineering team to rapidly identify issues
  • Develop simulation scenario creation pipelines, both from empirical logged data or in virtual worlds
  • Implement intelligent agent behaviors to test autonomy software capabilities
  • Develop advanced simulation features such as sensor simulation and realistic vehicle dynamics models
  • Design real-world tests and perform analysis to identify discrepancies between simulation and reality

About You

  • Excellent C++/Python programming and software design skills
  • Solid knowledge of 3D math, linear algebra
  • Experience developing visualization and modeling tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to haves

  • Game programming experience, including work on tools, graphics, or agent behaviors
  • Physics simulation experience
  • Familiarity with automotive sensors or vehicle dynamics
