Blend helps lenders maximize their digital agility. Our digital lending platform is used by Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, and other leading financial institutions to increase customer acquisition, improve productivity, and accelerate the delivery of any banking product across every channel. We process more than $3.5 billion in mortgages and consumer loans daily, helping millions of consumers get into homes and gain access to the capital they need to lead better lives.

Blend is in a very interesting phase right now. We’re no longer a startup that’s just building a product as quickly as possible. Now, it's a balance between moving quickly, but also having a more long term view of how our software needs to be architected. The PreApproval team is a fast-paced, high-impact core product team delivering end-to-end features that expand Blend’s existing offering for Mortgage. Our mission is to make the loan-officer workflow simple and usable in Blend so that lenders can provide a first class experience to their customers

How you'll contribute:

  • You’ll work with and contribute to our open-source projects like https://github.com/blend/go-sdk/
  • You’ll contribute to our Service Provider Integration(SPI) framework so that we can build integrations to our third-party data providers in a scalable and maintainable way
  • You’ll work on and create critical loan-officer facing functionality like issuing rate-lock, disclosures, and loan estimates. These are huge market differentiators for Blend
  • Create your own story! Some of Blend’s best features have come from engineering initiatives. You’ll have an opportunity to propose new ideas and build features end to end

Who you are:

  • 3+ years of experience working on high-quality production software in a full stack role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills for collaborating with other teams
  • Solid experience and understanding of maintainable distributed systems
  • Ability and willingness to help others in the company succeed and be productive

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working with TypeScript, Node.js, Go, or React
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or MongoDB
  • Experience with AWS services like RDS and EKS
  • Experience working and communicating with third-party data providers

Benefits and Perks:

  • Meaningful equity and a 401(k) plan
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • Wellness benefits covering a variety of wellness activities, fitness classes, fitness equipment and more
  • Stipends for work from home setup, internet, and meals
  • Company-wide mental health days
  • Weekly remote all hands
  • Flexible work schedule, with open vacation policy
  • 16 weeks of paid parental leave
