About the role:
The UberEats.com Conversion Rate Optimization team is responsible for designing and building core product improvements and features to the web experience. On the CRO team, we build and test product hypotheses through quick iterations while maintaining a high standard of quality and design for all product domains on UberEats.com.
You might work on:
• Finding new ways to improve the user experience for existing web product features• Exploring creative opportunities to leverage the depth of UberEats' delivery technology• Working with partners across marketing and product to align our features and iterations with the overall ecosystem• Follow data-driven approaches to conduct experiments
Our team has full-stack responsibilities which span backend, web, product, design, data science, and more. We are looking for an experienced software engineer who is passionate about learning new things and excited to lead a team on a challenging, yet rewarding area of UberEats.
Minimum qualifications:
• PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field OR 3-years full-time Software Engineering work experience, WHICH INCLUDES 2-years total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas:• Programming language (e.g. JavaScript, CSS, Node.js)• Architecting, building, and maintaining web applications
• Note the 2-years total of specialized software engineering experience may have been gained through education and full-time work experience, additional training, coursework, research, or similar (OR some combination of these). The years of specialized experience are not necessarily in addition to the years of Education & full-time work experience indicated.
• Ability to learn new concepts quickly• Backend experience is a big plus (Go, Node)• Experience with architectural patterns of large data applications• Ability to work in a cross-functional team
