About the Team

The Core Infrastructure organization builds and operates reliable, scalable and repeatable cloud infrastructure for DoorDash developers to ship great products quickly and reliably.

The Foundation Infrastructure team within Core Infrastructure builds and operates the cloud, compute and traffic infrastructure that all developers at DoorDash build upon.

About the Role

Your responsibilities include:

• Building and operating critical infrastructure systems across cloud, compute and traffic
• Contribute to the entire software and infrastructure lifecycle - designing, coding, testing, configuring, automating, debugging and monitoring
• Lead projects and drive them with a bias for action
• Proactively identify potential outages and build systems to triage and fix
• Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to enable business growth

• You have at least 5 years experience as an infrastructure focused software engineer
• You have experience building and operating infrastructure at scale
• You love systems and software and are competent in both
• You apply a product mindset to infrastructure systems

Experience with these specific technologies or similar alternatives is not required but helpful.

• Backend service and tool development in Golang, Kotlin and/or Python
• AWS
• Kubernetes, Docker, Kops, Helm
• Hashicorp Vault, Hashicorp Consul
• Cloudflare, Nginx, Route53, Envoy
• Terraform, Gitops
