About this Role
Parsable is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced QA Engineer to join our team! As a member of the Quality Engineering team, you will act as a driving force for the quality efforts throughout Parsable. You will strive to provide the best possible experience for our customers through an “automate-first” mindset. A qualified candidate will meet the below criteria.
Responsibilities
- Develop, and maintain automation test infrastructure/framework to produce maintainable, stable test coverage to support the development of Web, Android and iOS applications
- Develop and execute automated test cases for functional, end-to-end, integration and performance testing
- Participate in Agile working practices such as daily scrum meetings, sprint planning meetings, reviews and retrospectives
- Work with the development team to prevent software defects by attending requirements reviews and architectural/design reviews every sprint iteration
- Work efficiently in a multi-project environment
- Work with the QA team members to review automated scripts for project work. Ensure the expected results, test results are captured and aligned with project plan and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate and innovate on the development and deployment of future products and tools
Qualifications
- BA/BS in CS/CE or equivalent role related experience or working knowledge
- 3+ years of experience in a QA Automation environment
- Experience in one of the following programming languages: Java/Python/C# or other languages
- Candidate has understanding of QA methodologies and practical knowledge of creating automated tests for each platform (iOS, Android, Web)
- Experience developing test scripts using automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Appium) across the various application layers (UI/Service/Data layers)
- Knowledge of distributed source control systems such as Git
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Strong communication skills are a must
- Enthusiastic and passionate about quality
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Kubernetes, and Jenkins
- Experience of Behavior Driven Development (BDD) practices and experience in Agile methodology is a plus
- Experience of testing in CI/CD model
- Experience of testing micro-services, containers, and docker
- Experience in performance testing tools like HP LoadRunner/Performance Center/StormRunner, JMeter is a plus
