Title: Software Engineers
Duties: The Software Engineers (Multiple Positions Open) at Chime Financial, Inc. in San Francisco, California will be responsible for Software application development of Application Programming Interface (API) for building internal and external facing software tools to automate processes and help streamline customer support and risk assessment. Collaborate with Product Managers and Stakeholders to help determine ideal technical software solutions to problems. Collaborate with Engineers in agile environment using Agile methodologies for software development. Onboard and mentor new members of the team to ensure their success with our software development process. Provide mentorship to less experienced engineers to help develop their software skillset. Develop the necessary software development best practices to work with and write a great code base. Help evaluate and select software tools, languages and frameworks used by the team.
Requirements: Master's degree in Electronic Information Processing, Computer Science or a related field plus one year of experience in computer organization and architecture. The one year of experience must include one year of experience with each of the following: (1) Ruby on Rails Engines, API, and ORM working with FinTech products and consumers; (2) developing payment processing systems and business logic related to payment systems; (3) building, improving, and working with Product Managers on internal tools and administration systems for internal facing support, operations and logistics; (4) writing automated unit, integration, and feature tests in Rspec framework with Regression Test Suites for Web Applications in Ruby on Rails; (5) MySQL, PostgreSQL; (6) Object Oriented Programming concepts; (7) implementing modular, DRY, RESTful scalable applications and performance engineering; (8) experience consulting, designing, and integrating with third-party systems and Role Base Access Control systems.
