About Your Role

You will be a key contributor on a small, collaborative team focused on one of the most exciting robotics applications today. Our Software Engineering team is expanding and looking for an experienced software operations specialist to contribute to our data annotation efforts. In this impactful role, you will collaborate closely with our AV perception engineering team and other stakeholders to track quality metrics, drive high quality labeling work, and improve operational processes pertaining to labeling.

About Your Work

  • Work on a team of software operations specialists focusing on the data annotation pipeline for our perception labels and semantic map
  • Perform, improve, and document quality assurance processes for labels to be used by the Ike Perception team
  • Solve difficult operational challenges within the labeling pipeline and work with labelers to achieve high quality annotations while maintaining throughput
  • Collaborate closely with the AV Perception team to develop metrics and processes for quality assurance

About You

  • Previous experience in data annotation, GIS/mapping, AV operations, or other relevant subject
  • Comfort using and navigating visual/spatial software in 2D and 3D and working on a computer for extended periods
  • A keen eye and strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; you have a strong ability to clearly articulate technical ideas, bugs, feature requests, etc.
  • A knack and passion for figuring things out; you are always looking for ways to make our tools and processes better and more efficient
  • Excitement to learn and ability to grow quickly & respond to change within a fast paced environment

Nice to haves

  • Familiarity with Linux command line interface and git commands
  • Experience with Python (or similar) to help drive tooling development
