As a Software Release Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing the software roadmap and release schedule. You’ll work closely with engineers, stakeholders, and customers to plan which functionality should integrate in each upcoming release. You’ll speed up development by ensuring all pieces of a system are coming together on-time.
What You'll Do
- Manage the software roadmap: lining up when key features will ship
- Manage the monthly software release schedule: tracking teams’ progress and making tough trades to help ship on time
- Engage across the development lifecycle: from architecture reviews, all the way to validation
- Engage across the breadth of the technical stack: from low-level embedded software, to the robotics stack, to full-stack services
- Bring the right people together to make critical decisions, quickly
- Cross-check plans and project dependencies across software teams
- Keep customer and stakeholder commitments organized
What You'll Bring
- An understanding of a modern software development life cycle
- Ability to quickly build useful understanding of many technical domains
- Comfort using modern software development tools like Github, git, the command line, and basic python scripting
- Experience managing complicated software programs
- Experience coordinating for a medium- or large-sized engineering team
- Efficient at leading conversations to clear next-steps and decisions
- Acute attention to detail
