About the Role
Within IT Engineering - Enterprise Applications, the Collaboration Team oversees cross-platform enhancements while owning and improving the UX and architecture of such tools used at the enterprise level (i.e. Google, Slack, Zoom, etc.). We aim to increase engagement and productivity via innovation (supportive app deployments, integrations, and automations). As a member of the Collab Engineering team at Uber, you will work closely with a vast network of other engineers, business systems analysts, operational specialists, and program managers.
• Lead management of SaaS tools and lead priority projects/escalations by working with stakeholders/users, identifying dependencies, designing solutions, and executing implementation.• Create accurate and clear technical documentation, develop support playbooks and process governance, design user trainings, and conduct operational hand-offs.• Embody the company's Engineering Competencies and aid the direct team in all verticals within Collab Engineering as needed (audio-visual, collaboration tools, data collection, and contract lifecycle management).
What the Candidate Will Do
As a Google SME within Collab Engineering, you will be instrumental in helping define, execute and maintain Google systems and standards for Uber employees worldwide. Your decisions and efforts will contribute to a user platform experience that is first compliant, scalable, and reliable; while under a north-star of streamlined communication and collaboration amongst our co-workers as well as their external partners.
• Manage the configuration, operation, and interactions of the Google Workspace and related products in relation to connected ecosystems; lead multiple related projects.• Partner with our Corp Dev, Eng Sec, eDiscovery, App Ops and other various IT Eng teams to execute on Google's platform towards compliance and data integrity initiatives.• Lead/Perform Google product and other SaaS landscape discoveries, health/usage analysis, and project scoping for innovative opportunities and tech debt reconciliation.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related fields.• 3+ years of IT work experience in infrastructure/systems maintenance, engineering, or escalated levels or support/operations• Experience managing multiple projects with proven ability to prioritize and collaborate• Knowledge of the entire Google Workspace product portfolio.• Working knowledge of: Python / Bash / JavaScript / Google Apps Script• Experienced Google Admin with a Google Apps Manager (GAM) track record.• Demonstrated experience leveraging the Google Workspace API to write automation that reduces overhead for common business processes (e.g., employee onboarding and offboarding) and/or improves the end-user experience
Preferred Qualifications
• 6+ years of IT work experience in infrastructure/systems maintenance, engineering, and architecture• Experienced Google Workspace Super Admin• Experience solutioning and play booking for Google under M&A timelines• Demonstrated experience integrating Google Workspace with other Enterprise SaaS applications, such as eDiscovery products, Zendesk, etc.• Demonstrated experience implementing Google DLP and Data Retention settings• Demonstrated experience implementing Google SAML configurations• Knowledgeable of email routing, security practices, and engagement insights• Well-practiced in cloud environments like Google Cloud IAM, AWS, GCP or Azure• Proven leadership and ability with Google Workspace architecture for a large, public, and global company

The SF Bay Area has been Uber’s HQ since day one. Today, it houses 3,500+ employees and almost every team has a presence here. We recently opened our new headquarters, adjacent to Chase Stadium. Uber's a hybrid work environment and employees target spending 50% of their time in the office.
