Who you are:

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about technology, has experience building scalable and robust solutions and can set the direction of our back-end framework/platform. As a Senior Back-End Engineer, you will work with a talented group of engineers, stakeholders and product managers and enable them to build new and innovative features for our travel platform.

 

Responsibilities:

 

•Design and implementation of various initiatives, ensuring the system design meets scalability and performance requirements

•Drive continuous improvement in our software and development process within an agile development team

•Write automated unit and integrations test as appropriate to support our continuous integration pipelines

•Present technical issues and their business impact to management

•Communicate complex technical solutions to a variety of stakeholders

•Work with cross-functional teams to research and resolve production issues

•Mentor junior engineers

 

Experience and Qualifications:

 

•BS and/or MS in Computer Science

•8+ years Software Development work experience

•Experience with OO design and development using Java

•Excellent verbal and written skills, with proven ability to communicate complex ideas

•Experience with the following or similar technologies: Spring Framework, REST APIs, Kafka, Dropwizard/Spring Boot, NoSQL, AWS and Docker

•Results-oriented and proactive

•Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous delivery

•Recent experience building highly scalable enterprise systems a big plus

•Experience at other fast-paced Internet companies, especially Travel companies, is a big plus
