About the Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer in Order Platform Team at Uber, you'll be working in a space that's closest to the business. You will contribute to Architecture/Design and bring long term strategy/vision to platform areas. You will be writing scalable, reliable and maintainable Next-Gen platform which is capable of scaling millions of transactions over years to come.
What the Candidate Will Do
• Lead Design and Architecture of Order Platform team• Hands-on high quality coding• Fix Production issues / Drive Outages
Basic Qualification
• 12+ years of experience with systems software engineering. Sound understanding of computer architecture and CS fundamentals.• Proficient in one of the following programming languages: Java, Scala, Go, Python, C/C++.• Detailed problem-solving approach and knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.• 5+ year of experience in building large scale platform/product or data systems• Grit, drive and a strong feeling of ownership coupled with collaboration.• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Backend System Design• Experience handling complex problems at scale• Experience writing backend code
